Miss Universe JA finalists sashed
Ahead of the grand coronation on Saturday, August 26, the 18 finalists in the 2017 Miss Universe Jamaica Beauty, Fashion and Wellness Pageant will undergo rigorous training and preparation.
Details about the pageant and its schedule of activities were outlined during a sashing and presentation at the Triple Century Sports Bar in New Kingston recently.
“There’s a lot in store this year and the emphasis is on the complete woman. We’re not focusing on the prizes because it’s all about selecting the well-rounded girl to represent Jamaica at the Miss Universe finals,” said Pageant director Mark McDermott of the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization.
Returning sponsor Lasco iCool will once again sponsor the swimsuit segment, which is usually a hit with patrons.
“We are pleased to be back on board with the Miss Universe Jamaica pageant. We have had a good relationship for the past three years,” said Catherine Goodall, marketing manager — beverages at LASCO.
