National Children’s Summit to be held tomorrow
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Child Development Agency’s (CDA) will be hosting a National Children’s Summit tomorrow at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown, Kingston.
According to the CDA, the summit, which will be its third in an effort to promote child participation, will be held under the theme, “Children…Securing a Brighter Future Today for Tomorrow”.
The summit, the brainchild of the Children’s Advisory Panel, is geared towards providing a platform for children to express their views and relate to each other about matters of concern, the CDA said.
The CDA said that it will also capitalise on the opportunity to highlight its role in policy development regarding the issues highlighted by the youngsters.
Among those scheduled for attendance is the Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information, Floyd Green.
