Cambridge, Club Ville clash in Division Two final
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Cambridge United and Club Ville SC will meet to decide the champions of the St James Football Association Guardian Life Division Two competition when the final kicks off at the UDC field this afternoon at 3:00 pm.
The teams qualified after completing contrasting semi-final wins last week, with the high-flying Cambridge United team hammering IberoStar 8-1 on aggregate, while Club Ville edged past Rose Mount FC 2-0, winning both legs by 1-0 margins.
Both teams have already earned promotion to the Division One next season as well.
Last week Wednesday, Damain James scored twice in the return-leg 5-0 win for Cambridge United, who led 3-1 from the first leg played a week earlier.
A day later, Club Ville SC confirmed their place after beating Rose Mount FC 1-0 in the return leg game.
Warren Rashford scored in the 66th minute for Club Ville SC, who only needed to avoid a loss after they had won the first leg by the same margin.
