Clarendon woman murdered, husband hospitalised
CLARENDON, Jamaica — A woman was killed last night and her common law husband left nursing injuries after gunmen pounced on them in Sandy Bay, Clarendon.
Dead is 54-year-old Cecelia Johnson, otherwise called ‘Monica’ of Inverness, Sandy Bay.
Reports from the May Pen police are that about 11:30 pm, residents heard explosions and summoned them.
On the arrival of the law men, Johnson and her common law husband were seen with gunshot wounds.
They were transported to hospital where Johnson succumbed to her injuries while her common law husband was admitted in critical condition.
Investigations continue.
