Duanvale beat President’s XI in TCA 50-over competition
FLORENCE HALL, Trelawny — The Trelawny Cricket Association (TCA) domestic 50-over competition continued across the parish last Sunday with the playing of three games.
At Duanvale, the home team, named after the community, beat the President’s XI. Duanvale made 169 all out from 30.4 overs, while the President’s XI in their reply, were bowled out for 100 in 19.4 overs.
At the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium, Salt Marsh were winners over Spicy Hill.
Spicy Hill scored 126 from 28.1 overs, while Salt Marsh made 128 for 6 wickets from 30 overs and 2 balls.
The third game, between Overton and Hill Sixty at Bounty Hall, was rained out.
This, however, was not before Myron Wilson, 63, and Leonardo Friginette, 50, led Overton to 250 for 6 in the game that was reduced to 30 overs. Hill Sixty was on 82 for 2 in the ninth over when the rains came.
Four games are scheduled for Sunday: Trelawny Police Cricket Club will play Spicy Hill at Bounty Hall; Jackson Town and Trelawny Master will lock horns at Friendship; Granville Cricket Club will take on Hill Sixty in Duanvale; and the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium will host the President’s XI and Jackson Town match. All games will start at 9:30 am.
