Free customer service course starts tomorrow
The HEART Trust/NTA and RE School of Education and Technology (RESET) have undertaken to train 250 people in customer service skills over the next three weeks.
The course, called Customer Engagement Operations, will be free of cost and begins tomorrow, Monday August 28.
According to RESET, prospective candidates are in the 17-30 age group and have at least one Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate subject.
“This can be any subject, not necessarily maths or English,” RESET president Raghavan Ramamoorthy told the Jamaica Observer.
He explained that the course will involve telephone etiquette techniques, general computer navigation skills, how to overcome cultural differences, and how to communicate with the customer in order to enhance the overall customer experience.
“We want people to be in-the know and interested so that qualified persons can take advantage of the opportunity,” he said.
Classes will be held Monday to Friday each week, between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
RESET is located on lower Sandringham Avenue, Kingston 10.
It is entered provisionally on the register of independent schools of Jamaica.
