Police kill wanted man in Hanover
HANOVER, Jamaica — A man who was last month listed among the 10 most wanted men in Westmoreland was yesterday shot dead in a reported shootout with the police in Hopewell, Hanover.
Dead is 34-year-old Glenroy Roach of Elgin Town in Hanover, who was also wanted for a double murder in the parish, as well as several other shooting incidents.
According to the police, the shootout, which took place about 5:45pm, resulted in the seizure of a Girsan Parabellum 9mm pistol with three rounds.
The police said that the matter has been reported to the Inspectorate of Constabulary and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
