Twilight 6, Pick 9 elude punters on saturday
The Twilight 6 (races 5-10) and the Pick 9 (races 2-10) both have carryovers as punters failed on Saturday to find the winners, or winning combinations, in the races which formed part of these two major exotic bets.
In the Twilight 6 races, there was only one winning favourite, first-time runner Legendary U, who won as the odds-on 4-5 choice.
The most difficult winner on the day was the 42-1 chance Colleen (Oneil Scott), who won in a driving finish, defeating Baby P (Shane Ellis) and Executive Charm (Oneil Mullings) in the day’s eighth race. I
t was Colleen’s first run at the four-year-old and up, non-winners of three level.
Other winners who rocked the Twilight 6 and Pick 9 boats, even a little, were Sweet Dimension (Aaron Chatrie) at 6-1 in the seventh race, and Golden Glory, another winner for Chatrie. Golden Glory also went off at odds of 6-1.
Going into Saturday’s programme, the carryover in the Twilight 6 stands at $1,484,135.25, with the Pick 9 at $1 million.
