Man caught attempting to smuggle ganja to Antigua
KINGSTON, Jamaica —The police have reported that a man has been arrested after he attempted to smuggle ganja from Jamaica to Antigua at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston yesterday.
Forty-four-year-old Paul Baldwin of a Clarendon address has been charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and taking steps preparatory to the export of ganja.
Reports are that about 1:35 pm Baldwin checked in a suitcase on a Caribbean Airlines Flight destined to Antigua. During a search of his suitcase 5.4 pounds of the weed was allegedly found concealed in a hammock and two pairs of shoes.
Baldwin is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Wednesday, September 27.
