Ovadose preparing to Buss
Up-and-coming singjay Ovadose is preparing to release his latest track called Buss. Slated to be released this month, the artiste, who is known for delivering his music in a humorous way, said this single will be no different.
“The message in my song is always serious and topical. However, I always try to bring them across in a fun way. This song explores the avenues that some artistes will take to get a breakthrough in the music industry,” he said.
Produced by Myself Records, the Clarendon-based artiste said he is hoping that the song will be a crossover hit.
“I want persons who are thousands of miles away from Jamaica to be singing along to it. We all know that the genre is accepted and loved much worldwide, so I’m hoping that this single will be added to playlists everywhere where reggae/dancehall is accepted,” he told Jamaica Observer.
Ovadose, given name Attacha Young, emerged on the dancehall scene in 2012 through a collab with Iceburg called Badmind Dem Got. He followed up with other singles such as Plastic Rice and Jamaican.
It was recently that Ovadose created a stir in Clarendon after conducting his wake and funeral. The artiste was transported in a casket to a church, saying he wanted to be part of his funeral ceremony.
“That’s who I am. I’m the artiste that’s here to bring laughter to people, while entertaining and educating them,” he said.
