Budding Jamaican designers will tomorrow night be on show at the Yello Fashion Directory at Devon House, one of the main events being staged during this year’s Jamaica Observer Takes Style Out.

“We’re also using the opportunity to pay tribute to style guru, colleague and former producer of the Fashion Directory, Dexter 3D Pottinger,” Yello said in a news release yesterday.

Noting that this is its sixth year sponsoring Takes Style Out, Yello said designers and vendors participating in Fashion Directory will be found under the creative businesses category on Yello’s mobile and online platforms, making them easily accessible to eager shoppers on Thursday and beyond.

Yello, which has been in Jamaica for over 50 years, has established itself as the first source for contact information for local businesses.

The company said its recent drive to offer free listings to businesses in the creative industries on its new website, findyello.com and via it’s mobile app is a demonstration of its commitment to “connecting potential buyers to sellers, no matter the size of their operations”.

Fashion Directory is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm. The event is free and Yello is encouraging Jamaicans to follow @yellojm on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook “to keep updated on all the latest fashion news and celebrity sightings from the Fashion Directory, hashtag #fashiondirectory #shoplocal”.
