Cash Pot 11
The best juveniles who have already graced the racetrack this season are entered to compete in the Cash Pot ‘Only One For Me’ Trophy, the first event in the Supreme Ventures-sponsored Two-Year-Old Triple Crown series of races. The other races in the series are the Pick 3 Challenge Trophy to be run in November and the Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes always contested on Boxing Day (December 26).
The Cash Pot ‘Only One For Me’ Trophy takes places next Saturday, October 14.
Leading the victory charge is trainer Anthony Nunes who has three of the 11 horses provisionally entered for the six-furlong (1,200m) event. The Nunes entries are Nadeshico, Patriarch, and Necromancer.
Trainer Richard Azan is staking his lot on the impressive Honey Ryda and Woodhouse.
Also provisionally entered for the Cash Pot is Another Vigorous who won in commanding fashion on debut two weeks ago. But not entered was the filly Azaria, trained by Gary Griffiths, who won first time out over six furlongs (1,200m).
Last year, the Cash Pot ‘Only One For Me’ Trophy provided the springboard for She’s A Maneater, who went on in her three-year-old career to win the Triple Crown: the Guineas, the Jamaica Derby and the Jamaica St Leger.
Top weight in the Cash Pot is allotted to Nadeshico who is set to carry 54.5 kilogrammes.
The Pick 3 Challenge Trophy is run over seven furlongs (1,400m) while the Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes is competed for over a mile (1,600m).
Nomination day is set for tomorrow, Wednesday October 11.
