Mr Easy seeking Privacy
MR Easy has returned with a single titled Privacy which, according him, is poised to become his next major hit.
“The single not only speaks to me, but it is so relatable because not all females want their relationship public nowadays. We don’t necessarily want to follow the trend of putting everything out there on social media for the world to see. We love wi privacy,” he told Jamaica Observer.
The singer, who has a music career spanning over 15 years, has been relatively quiet in recent times. However, he believes he has no problems reconnecting with dancehall fans.
“I am a seasoned artiste and to record a song of this nature and quality at this time it is good for dancehall and reggae music. Many times we have faltered as a music industry, and it is always good to see the elders pick up the pieces and show the world that dancehall and reggae music are here to stay,” said Mr Easy.
Produced on the Hot It Up Records imprint, Privacy was released in June.
The singer gave some insight on the production of the track.
“It was all natural. It was nothing planned, but the rhythm spoke to me and naturally this is what came to mind. It was a sexy track and immediately what came to mind was Privacy. I started writing and the rest was history. When there is a good-quality production, it always impacts the artiste in a natural way,” he said.
Mr Easy climbed international charts approximately 15 years ago with the hit record Drive Me Crazy. His other tracks include Bashment Gal, Gone Ah Lead, and Tek Weh Yuh Self.
