5-y-o girl hit by car, dies

ST JAMES, Jamaica — A five-year-old girl died in a motor vehicle collision on the Lottery main road, Amity Hall in St James on Sunday.

She has been identified as Kevonique Gordon, who lived in the area.

Reports are that the young girl was walking along the roadway with a woman about 5:45 pm when both were hit by a Toyota Corolla motorcar.

Police said that both sustained multiple injuries and were taken to hospital where Kevonique was pronounced dead.
