Flooding forces Jackson Town Tax Office closed
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — The Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising that the Jackson Town Tax Office in Trelawny will be closed for business today as a result of severe weather conditions, which caused flooding in the area and forced the closure of some businesses and offices.
Taxpayers are therefore being advised that they may conduct their usual transactions at either the Falmouth or Brown’s Town Tax Offices.
Additionally, employers are being reminded that payroll tax payments which become due tomorrow, can be made online at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.
The TAJ has also apologised for the inconvenience caused and noted that the public will be advised through the media of the resumption of services at this location.
