Stephen Edwards re-elected G2K president
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Stephen Edwards has been returned as the president of Generation 2000 (G2K), the young professional affiliate of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).
Edwards was re-elected at the organisation’s annual general meeting, which was held on Saturday December 16, according to a release from the group.
In his address to the members of the organisation Edwards highlighted that G2K will celebrate its 18th Anniversary in 2018.
“Since its inception G2K has always approached national advocacy with a sense of professionalism, which is the main reason why the organisation remains the most attractive youth movement in Jamaica.
Eighteen successful years is a significant achievement which, G2K will celebrate with a number of outreach activities, as a show of appreciation for the trust and support that Jamaica has given to the organisation over the years,” Edwards was quoted as saying.
