KINGSTON, Jamaica — Leader of the Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) Dr Peter Phillips has extended congratulations to Cyril Ramaphosa, who was yesterday elected President of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) of South Africa, succeeding President of Jacob Zuma.
Ramaphosa, who is the country’s Deputy President and a former General Secretary of the ANC, won by a narrow margin over a former cabinet minister.
