PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC — Four people, including a pregnant woman, were denied bail when they appeared in a magistrate’s court in east Trinidad on Monday, charged with robbery with aggravation, money laundering and receiving stolen money as a result of a multimillion-dollar heist at the Piarco International Airport earlier this month.

Kizzy Bernard, who is eight months pregnant, is facing charges of money laundering and receiving stolen money in relation to the December 6 robbery.

Her co-accused, Kenol Singh, 35, Abdul Mohammed, 38 and Kevon Findley, 42, have all been charged with robbery with aggravation, whilst Singh is facing an additional charge of money laundering.

Mohammed and Findley were also charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

On December 6, gunmen armed with high-powered rifles and dressed in camouflage clothing carried out a daring daylight robbery at the heavily secured section of the airport, taking five million TT dollars in cash that was destined for the sister isle of Tobago.

The police have reportedly only recovered $250,000 of the loot.
