Wayne J is very serious about his role as the youth ambassador for the Alligator Head Foundation. The 14-year-old entertainer recently represented Jamaica at the United Nations COP 23 Climate Change Conference which was held in Bonn, Germany.

The deejay, who is a second-form student at the Hydel High School, participated in various events at the conference.

“This was a great opportunity for me; I was the youngest person representing a delegation at the conference. I am happy I got an opportunity to talk about the importance of protecting our marine environment. I also performed some of the songs that I’ve recorded to promote the protection of the environment such as Plastic Bottles and Golden Country,” said Wayne J.

“I am pleased that I was chosen to represent Jamaica at the conference. It was a wonderful experience [and] everyone was very warm and receptive,” he added.

The Alligator Head Foundation is an environmental organisation which was created by Swiss philanthropist Archduchess Francesca von Habsburg-Lothringen to conserve Jamaica’s coastal and marine resources. The foundation is based in Portland.

Wayne J is currently promoting Copy Teka (Greatest Records) and Murderer on the King Horror Production label.
