Weekly Round-up: Ian Boyne dead… 25 gang members remanded… Gayle falls ill

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The country was plunged into shock after veteran journalist Ian Boyne died on Monday.

On that same day, Dancehall deejay Ninja Man was slapped with a life sentence for the March 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson.

And, all except one of the 26 members of the Uchence Wilson led gang were remanded into custody until January 10, 2018, when the appeared in the Supreme Court Wednesday.

In sport, West Indies could be in danger of losing Chris Gayle for the one-day double-header after the superstar opener fell ill during the opening match in New Zealand on Wednesday.
