One of Westmoreland’s most wanted arrested
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — The police are reporting the arrest of one of Westmoreland’s most wanted men.
He is Davion Brown, otherwise called ‘Balti’ of a Savanna-la-Mar address.
The police said Brown was arrested on Friday, December 15 following an operation in Grange Hill in the parish. A Taurus 9mm pistol with five 9mm rounds of ammunition was also found in his possession, the lawmen reported.
In August of this year, Brown was named as wanted for the murder of 22-year-old Ocielle Hall on Great Georges Street in Westmoreland and in September he reportedly engaged lawmen in a confrontation during their attempt to apprehend him.
Brown was interviewed in the presence of his lawyer last Thursday and was formally charged with murder, shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Detectives said they are following strong leads in other cases where they consider Brown to have been a major player and are appealing to the public to share information on crimes which Brown have committed.
He is scheduled to appear before the Westmoreland Parish Court on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.
