Minister of Transport and Mining, Lester Mike Henry, says the methodology of competence before road licences are granted needs to be reviewed, following the discovery that the drivers in last Friday’s fatal two-vehicle crash on Old Harbour Road in St Catherine have a combined total of 62 outstanding traffic tickets. 4. Elderly couple tied up, killed in St Thomas
An elderly couple was found dead in their home in Retreat, St Thomas yesterday. Dead are 81-year-old Melbourne Flake and his 70-year-old wife Etta Flake both of Retreat in the parish. OBSERVER ONLINE understands that the two were returning residents from Canada. Full story here
