Weather Update: Increased rainfall expected this weekend

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Periods of showers, which may be heavy at times with possible thunderstorms, are expected mainly across northern parishes this weekend, the Meteorological Service of Jamaica has reported.

This is due to a cold front currently across the Gulf of Mexico which is expected to enter the western Caribbean tomorrow and linger in the vicinity of Jamaica throughout the weekend.

Atmospheric conditions are expected to become unstable across Jamaica starting tomorrow afternoon.
