Security guards arrested after chopping alleged lime thief to death
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — A man was chopped to death after security guards caught him picking limes on the Good Hope Farm in Trelawny yesterday.
Dead is Patrick Walden of Friendship, St James address.
Walden, who was reportedly trespassing on the property around 10:00 pm, accosted and attacked the security guards with a knife.
During the confrontation, one of the security guards used a machete to chop him several times.
Walden was taken to the Falmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The two security guards are in police custody.
