St Lucian cruise passenger on cocaine rap
DETECTIVES assigned to the Narcotics Division arrested a St Lucian man following the seizure of one pound of cocaine at the Falmouth Pier in Trelawny on Monday.
The identity of the man is, however, being withheld pending further investigations.
Police reported that about 4:30 pm security checks were being conducted on passengers and crew members returning to a cruise ship that was docked at the pier when the man was searched and the drugs found in his possession. He was subsequently arrested and charged.
The cocaine has an estimated street value of $625,000.
