Register now for Wigton solar energy
Registration is now open for a Solar Energy and Fuel Cells course which will run from March 19 – 23, 2018 at the Wigton Renewable Energy Training Lab in Rose Hill, Manchester is accepting applications for its a Solar Energy and Fuel Cells course which will run from March 19 – 23, 2018.
According to a release from Wigton’s parent company Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ), the course will give registrants a thorough introduction to Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems, types, designs, measurement, quantity and distribution. In addition, students will get an understanding of site assessments, system installations and ways of measuring efficiency as well as a working knowledge of fuel cells, storage and application. The curriculum will also cover the regulations and approvals associated with PV systems.
“As we continue to fulfil our goal of building capacity in renewable energy, we will be offering various courses that cover critical aspects of the discipline to increase the knowledge and capabilities of individual professionals and entities operating in the industry,” said Earl Barrett, General Manager, Wigton Windfarm Limited.
“I want to encourage those interested in taking advantage of the emerging employment and business opportunities in the renewable energy industry to equip themselves by enrolling in the courses being offered at the Wigton Training Lab,” he added.
Opened in November 2016, the Wigton Renewable Energy Training Lab offers training in solar photovoltaics, wind power, small hydro, bioenergy and energy conservation. Course curricula are delivered through workshops, lectures and practical lab work.
