#Champs2018: Excelsior’s Foreman cops high jump gold with 1.80m record
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Excelsior’s Shantae Foreman a short while ago established a new meet record on her way to retaining her Class Three high jump title at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championship currently ongoing at the National Stadium.
Foreman, who won the event last year at a height of 1.79 metres, showed that it was no fluke as she bettered that effort this year, clearing the bar at 1.80m.
She won ahead of Annishka McDonald (1.71m) of Vere Technical and Daniel Hinds (1.60m) also of Excelsior.
