When did you start track and field?

I started track and field in primary school at age eight at Mandeville Primary and Junior High.

How did you get involved in track and field?

I got involved in track and field through my coach, Mr Francis, at primary school who is now a coach at Holmwood Technical High School.

Who are your local and international track and field idols?

The “Pocket Rocket” Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, because she is a phenomenal athlete, and internationally Allyson Felix.

How do you rate your school’s chances in this year’s Girls’ Championships?

We are just hoping to come in the top 10, to be honest.

Which school do you fear most and why?

Actually we fear no school, because if I train and you train why should you be better than me? So I don’t fear any school.

How important is it for a student/athlete to have a solid education?

It is very important because if anything should happen (negatively with regards to sports) you need education as an alternative. Education is important in every aspect of your life.

What are your educational achievements to date?

So far I have nine CXC subjects, six ones (Mathematics, Accounts, English A, POB, Business and EDPM) and two twos (French, English B) and a three (Add Maths) and will be doing CAPE this year.

What is your ultimate life ambition?

To be an entrepreneur.

Who/what has had the biggest impact on your life thus far?

My mother Elizabeth Williams and my coach, Carlos Samuels.
