Gun, ammo seized in Duhaney Park; man arrested
DETECTIVES from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse on Monday arrested one man for breaches of the Offences Against the Person and Firearm Acts in Baldwin Crescent, Duhaney Park Kingston 20.
According to the police, about 2:00 am officers went to premises on Baldwin Crescent in search of a man accused of having sex with a person under the age of 16 years.
“The man as well as the dwelling was searched and one Taurus 9mm pistol with two magazines and 26 rounds of ammunition were seized. The man was subsequently taken into custody,” said a release from the constabulary’s Corporate Communication Unit. “He will be charged soon,” said the release.
The man’s identity, police said, is being withheld pending further investigations.
