March 29 deadline for voters’ list registration
PEOPLE who wish to get on the May 31 voters’ list have until tomorrow to register, the Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ‚ has said.
Prospective electors were asked to apply at an EOJ constituency office before the cut-off date. Those who meet the March 29 deadline should receive their ID cards by mid-June, said the EOJ.
Those who register after March 29 will have to wait to be added to the November 30, 2018 list.
“The registration process is simple and applicants are asked to come prepared to have their photograph and fingerprints taken. Following the in-office application, the applicant’s residence will be verified and the application processed,“ said the EOJ.
The voters’ list now has 1,905,278 electors.
