MoBay welcomes Custos Pitkin
Montego Bay businessman Lachu Ramchandani recently hosted a luncheon at the Mystic India Restaurant in Whitter Village, Ironshore, for senior pastor of the Faith Temple Assembly of God, Bishop Conrad Pitkin, ahead of his official installation as custos rotulorum for St James, scheduled for the Montego Bay Convention Centre on April 5.
Bishop Pitkin has been a senior pastor at the Faith Temple Assemblies of God church since 1988, where he has served in numerous capacities, including chairman of the Caribbean Executive of Assemblies of God Fellowship, member of the World Fellowship of the Assemblies of God executive and president of the National Men’s Ministry.
He is also actively involved in a number of programmes throughout Montego Bay, and has been credited for executing initiatives such as a street-feeding programme in collaboration with the Committee for the Upliftment of the Mentally Ill.
During the luncheon, which was attended by more than 70 people from a wide cross section of the parish, including politicians, businessmen, the legal fraternity and security forces, the custos designate used the opportunity to intact with the attendees.
Bishop Pitkin, who was appointed on January 29, succeeds Ewen Corrodus, who demitted office on January 31, after serving as custos of St James for almost nine years.
