Trelawny cop caught on camera in altercation with civilian suspended

TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson has placed a police corporal from the Trelawny Police Division on suspension after video surfaced last week of the cop involved in an altercation with a member of the public.

The policeman was described in a release from the Corporate Communication unit (CCU) as having been “captured on tape behaving in an uncivil and unprofessional manner”.

The Inspectorate of Constabulary (IOC) is currently investigating the matter which occurred in the Clarke’s Town area of Trelawny last week.
