$48-m repairs for Felicity road
MONTEGO BAY, St James — The Felicity roadway in St James is being rehabilitated at a cost of $48 million under the Major Infrastructure Development Programme (MIDP).
The roadway is a key link road, used by scores of residents and motorists seeking to bypass the bustling city centre of Montego Bay.
“The corridor is a popular route used by residents travelling from the direction of the city centre towards places such as Ironshore and surrounding areas,” said Janel Ricketts, the National Works Agency’s community relations officer for the western region.
She added that under the project, the roadway is being widened to facilitate greater ease of movement and safety.
The project, which got underway in March, is expected to be completed by the end of next month.
