Gas prices up $2.79, diesel up $2.91
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists should see an increase at the pumps in the price of gasoline and diesel, effective Thursday, May 23, according to the latest ex-refinery costs from Petrojam.
87- and 90-octane gasoline will be sold for $132.62 and $135.46 per litre, respectively, up by $2.79 each.
Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $130.61 per litre following an increase of $2.91 while ultra-low sulphur diesel is up by $2.16, and will be sold for $135.76 per litre.
Meanwhile, kerosene increased in price by $2.57 and will be sold for $113.30 per litre.
Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $49.29 per litre, up by $2.60 and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $52.71 per litre after an increase of $2.14.
Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark-up to these prices.
