KSAFA All-stars, Manchester Lions clash for Elite League crown
DEFENDING champions Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) All-Stars will meet Manchester Lions in the final of the JFF/Sportsmax Under-18 Elite League at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex tomorrow.
Game time is 6:00 pm.
KSAFA All-Stars booked their spot in the final after registering 2-1 over St Catherine Saints last week Saturday, while Manchester Lions clipped Clarendon Galaxy 3-2 to secure their berth. Both games were also played at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.
Shaniel Thomas scored in the 14th minute to give KSAFA All-Stars a 1-0 lead, but the Saints rallied through Javaughn Cole in the 60th minute to make it 1-1.
Seven minutes later All-Stars retook the lead, preserved it to the end and booked their ticket to the championship game.
In the other semi-final, Marlando Maxwell scored a double for Manchester Lions in the fifth minute and another in the second half to give his team a comfortable 2-0 lead.
But the Galaxy’s Lamar Walker had other ideas and pulled a goal back in the 71st minute to make it 2-1.
Three minutes later, Odal Brown scored for the Lions to make it 3-1 before Demario Phillips got Galaxy’s second goal in the 75th.
