Motor vehicle crash affects NWC supply in Westmoreland
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) says a motor vehicle accident has caused extensive damage to its Nonpareil facility in Westmoreland, leaving customers served by that facility without water.
In a release today, the NWC explained that a car which ran onto the property, tore down a section of the perimeter fencing, dislocated pipelines and damaged the storage tank.
As a result, the water company said it is working assiduously to carry out the repairs and restore the water supply by Friday.
Areas affected include: Orange Hill, Mt Airy, Good Hope, Duck Pond, sections of White Hall and surrounding areas.
