Build Expo attracts scores of exhibitors, patrons
The second staging of the annual Build Expo & Conference attracted several exhibitors and hundreds of patrons at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in Rose Hall, St James, from June 8-11.
The expo and conference featured some of Jamaica’s largest distributors of construction material and equipment, while conference topics revolved mainly around new trends in the market and renewable energy solutions.
The event also received a significant boost from the Canadian High Commission in Jamaica with exhibitors from Canada as well as a trade delegation from that country.
The event, which was officially opened on Friday by Minister of Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries Audley Shaw, also featured presentations from Laurie Jane Peters, Canadian high commissioner to Jamaica, and Minister of National Security and MP for St James North Western Dr Horace Chang, who represented Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
