Dazzle Dry — Health, Function, Beauty

If, like us at Under The Dryer (UTD), you are petrified of doing your nails in a rush lest they smudge, and you can seldom find time to pencil in a manicure, you’ll be delighted to discover unveil Dazzle Dry. Introduced to our shores by self-acclaimed ‘spa and wellness girl’ Loeri Robinson who is, too, the woman helming Unwind Distributors. Robinson shared with UTD the positive response to Dazzle Dry.

Since Dazzle Dry’s introduction into the market late last year the response has been overwhelmingly positive as Dazzle Dry has truly lived up to its “Health, Function, Beauty” tagline.

The reality is that Dazzle Dry is the only vegan, non-toxic, non-yellowing lacquer that air-dries rock-hard in five minutes (no UV or LED lights needed). It is smudge-proof in only one minute! Also, removing Dazzle Dry is a breeze as it comes off with regular nail polish remover including non-acetone (no soaking off required). This proprietary system lasts chip-free 7—14 days with proper application and the record in Jamaica for longevity has been five weeks!

Dazzle Dry can currently be found in numerous spas and salons, some of which include:

Blow by Blow, OXX, Bella’s Day Spa, Rejuvenation, Racks Nails, Betty Ziadie Nail Salon, Seon’s Hair and Nails, MJ Body Concept Spa, Jazz Hairstylists, Nails Bar by Lisa.

On the north coast resorts/spas such as Jamaica Inn, Hyatt, Jewel Grande, Spa 165 and a few others carry the line, with several more currently being trained to come on board.

“I have always been a spa girl and attended a few wellness/spa conventions in 2017, looking for new business opportunities,” Robinson revealed. “Without a doubt the unique and healthy Dazzle Dry system jumped out at me the most! I am so pleased with how welcome and loved it has become in the Jamaican market.

“While Dazzle Dry is currently the flagship product for Unwind Distributors, I am currently exploring other unique and premiun wellness/beauty products that stay true to my mantra of living well from the inside out.”

We share more…

Who created Dazzle Dry?

Dr Vivian Valenty is the creator and manufacturer of Dazzle Dry under VB Cosmetics. She has her PhD in Bio-Organic Chemistry and is a true leader and innovator in the industry. For decades, Dr Valenty has formulated many of the industry’s most revolutionary and well-known category-driving products.

What is Dazzle Dry?

Dazzle Dry is a transformational natural nail lacquer system.

It is the original healthy natural nail lacquer for wellness manicures and is backed up by 30 years of research and development.

The only polish system that dries in five minutes without reactive chemicals.

Long-wearing polish with the ease of removal with acetone or non-acetone polish remover.

When applied properly, manicures wear for seven to 14 days without chipping.

The system allows natural nails to grow healthy.

It is vegan and manufactured cruelty-free.

The system is hypoallergenic and does not contain reactive ingredients, monomers and photo initiators that may cause allergic reactions and skin sensitivities.

Dazzle Dry is a unique and proprietary system

It is not a traditional nail lacquer.

It is not a gel polish.

It is not a hybrid nail lacquer.

Dazzle Dry is a performance polish in a stand-alone category that represents the best of all worlds via a unique proprietary technology. It delivers the performance of gel but applies and removes like ordinary polish.

Why does Dazzle Dry work?

Dazzle Dry is scientifically engineered to function as a system.

All the components of the system are designed to synergistically work together.

When armed with proper product and application knowledge, both nail technicians and consumers will be able to achieve optimum results with the Dazzle Dry natural nail lacquer system.

Formulation, Composition, and Key Benefits

Vegan

Cruelty-free, no animal testing and no animal by-products. No pigments from crushed beetles also known as carmine or fish scales (guanine) that are often found in cosmetics.

Mineral pigments and FDA-approved pigments are used to formulate Dazzle Dry.

Hypoallergenic

Dazzle Dry does not contain reactive ingredients known to cause allergic reactions. Does not have any of the plasticisers and ingredients which traditional polishes, gel polishes and hybrid polishes have that are known to cause skin sensitisations and/or contact allergic dermatitis.

Non-toxic

Dazzle Dry is free of offensive, carcinogenic and endocrine disrupting toxins. The system is the “cleanest” of all solvent based polishes on the market. This means it does not contain “offensive” chemicals that are present in other nail lacquer products.

It is free of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP, camphor, nitrocellulose, and TPHP.

Non-yellowing

The entire system, base coat, top coat, and lacquer are non-yellowing due to the absence of nitrocellulose.

Nail Prep

Nail prep is designed to cleanse, sanitise, and moisturise the nail while preparing it for optimal nail polish adhesion.

Infused with provitamin B5, calcium and hydrolysed wheat protein.

Fortifies the nails with nutrients that promote good nail health.

Never use alcohol, acetone, scrub fresh, bond aid or other adhesion promoters to prep the nail as this over dehydrates the nail and can adversely impact adhesion.

Base Coat

Cold temperatures can cause base coat to get cloudy. This is not a defect; it’s by design. Base coat must be clear like water prior to use. To achieve this, close cap tightly and run under hot water or set it in a shallow bowl of hot water until it becomes completely clear without any cloudy sediment.

When refilling small bottles using the large ones, make sure to put in hot water until large refill size is clear like water prior to pouring into small ones.

Dazzle Dry Base Coat is the only water-based base coat that uses a proprietary rubbery flexible polymer to impart a longer chip-free, gel-like wear.

Proprietary technology allows the Dazzle Dry system to stay long on natural nails.

Regular nail polish is not flexible; it’s brittle.

As expansion and retraction is taking place with water absorption, the base coat allows for the nail to flexibly bend, therefore preventing micro fractures and premature chipping of nail polish.

Nail Lacquer

Delivers the longest wear available in fashion-forward cremes, shimmers and glitters.

Designed to be used with the complete Dazzle Dry system only.

Top Coat

Top coat is non-yellowing, quick-drying, long-wearing, self-levelling.

If there are any minor imperfections in the polish application, the top coat will self-level and smooth it out.

How long will a DAZZLE DRY manicure last?

If instructions are followed, it can last from seven days up to 14 days, and up to four-plus weeks on the toes.

Everyone’s experience will vary depending on lifestyle and use of your nails. Proper preparation of the nail plate will ensure the longest wear. Avoid contact with alcohol, acetone, other solvents or products containing a high concentration of these solvents, such as mosquito repellant or hairspray to prevent dulling.

Dazzle Dry Application

Base coat must be clear like water. If cloudy, has sediments or is jelly-like, immerse the tightly closed bottle in a bowl of hot water until base coat becomes clear before using.

Start with a clean, manicured and dry nail plate that has been lightly buffed (if needed) using a fine-grit (240 or higher) buffer.

Avoid contact of base coat, nail lacquer and top coat on the skin and side walls to prevent product lifting.

Make sure the lacquer and top coat are the desired viscosity by using Dazzle Dry Revive.

Wash nails with soap and water prior to Dazzle Dry application.
