You read it here first. The CEO who cancelled a crucial board meeting in order to attend the Football World Cup in Russia has tendered his resignation. Board members who had to stay home and watch the matches carried on bad, accusing him of putting his whims before the interest of the company. Ah well. Hope his side won.

Don’t give them the pleasure of dragging your name in the mud indefinitely. One shouldn’t have to pay twice for an earlier indiscretion for which the time was served. Wonder how Mr Paulwell feels now?

The story reaching Pepperpot is that PM Andrew Holness had contemplated moving his namesake Andrew Wheatley completely out of the Cabinet after the Petrojam cass-cass. Then fears resurfaced about the narrow margin of the numbers in the Parliament and that put paid to any plan to remove anyone.
