Sting Blunt gets a buzz
Stinga Blunt is pleased with the reception to his summer song Bubble .
The single is getting a lot more buzz since the release of an animated video earlier this month.
“The song had been getting positive reviews so far and me feel good, but since the cartoon video drop, the popularity of the song shoot up. The ting ah tek off to the next stratosphere; mi ah get way more buzz on social media,” Stinga Blunt said.
The single, produced by Knatural Entertainment, was released in May 2018 and is distributed by 21st Hapilos Digital Distribution.
“The Bubble song dropped at the perfect time for the summer and it is doing well at the street dances and the mixtapes. Bubble is a song with universal appeal — young, old, Indian, black or white, Chinese, everybody really; just good, clean fun. I do music for everyone,” said the artiste whose real name is Devron Johnson.
The artiste is now turning his attention towards working full-time with the Corporate Area-based Knatural Entertainment to release a seven track EP in August.
“Ever since producer Knatural mixed a track for me I loved the mix and since then we have a great chemistry and things are moving forward at a nice pace,” Stinga Blunt said.
Stinga Blunt hails from the parish of Portland. He migrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a decade ago. He listed Vybz Kartel, Sizzla, Buju Banton and Bob Marley as his primary musical influences.
“I started music because I fell in love with it. I continue to do music because it’s a part of my happiness,” he said.
