Twin teens arrested for burning down mother’s house
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — The police have reported that 19-year-old twin brothers from Ebenezer district in Manchester were taken into custody for allegedly burning down their mother’s house following a dispute last evening.
Reports from the Newport police are that both men allegedly had a dispute with their mother about 5:00 pm at their home and shortly after fire was seen coming from a section of the six-apartment house they occupied.
The police were summoned and they responded along with a unit from the Mandeville Fire Station, which carried out cooling down operations. The two teens were subsequently arrested on suspicion of arson.
Loss is estimated at $6 million and the house was reportedly was not insured, the police say.
