CXC to release 2018 results August 10
Grenada is to host the release of the results of the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC)-administered May/June 2018 examination in two weeks’ time, on Friday August 10, 2018.
The ceremony to announce the performance of candidates in the various examinations will take place in Charter Hall, St George’s University Campus, starting at 9:30 am.
According to CXC, the report will be presented by Alton McPherson, acting senior manager, Examinations Development and Production Division, while Mr Rodney Payne, senior manager, Examinations Administration and Security Division, will make a presentation on examination administration issues.
In a release to the media Friday, CXC Registrar Glenroy Cumberbatch said the results announcement is one way that CXC demonstrates its responsibility and accountability to the region. He added that following the presentation of the results, there will be a question and answer segment for education stakeholders.
Emmalin Pierre, minister education, human resource development and religious affairs in Grenada, is expected to deliver the keynote address at the event, while Finley Jeffrey, permanent secretary in the Ministry of Education will bring welcome remarks, and Cumberbatch will give remarks.
Cumberbatch will present a copy of the results for Grenada to Minister Pierre.
The results ceremony will be streamed live on www.cxc.org/cxctv and on the CXC Facebook page from 9:30 am.
