Nature lover is St Elizabeth festival queen for 2018
NAIN, St Elizabeth — Kimberley Buckeridge, Miss Courier Jamaica.com, was crowned St Elizabeth Festival Queen 2018 at the Jamaica Cultural Development Commision (JCDC) St Elizabeth Festival Queen Coronation held recently at Alpart Sports Club here.
Buckeridge, a past student of the Hampton School, won from a field of 10 contestants.
The 25-year-old, who hails from Breadnut Walk, northern St Elizabeth, is an employee of Jamaica National Bank and a student of The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus.
She says she enjoys nature and fitness, and will soon officially launch her community project geared toward the revitalisation of the craft industry, starting with Breadnut Walk.
Miss Moorland Development, Radica Myers, who is from Aberdeen also in northern St Elizabeth, took the first runner-up spot, while Kenese Harvey, who represented J Charles Swaby’s Black River Safari, was third.
