Repair work to affect water supply in St Catherine, Kingston tomorrow
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that it will be necessary to shut down the Well E facility situated in St Catherine tomorrow between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in order to facilitate repairs to a broken distribution main.
This shutdown in operations will result in reduced water supply (low pressures) to a number of the areas served by the facility.
Areas affected:
Greater Portmore, Monza, Daytona, Hamilton Gardens, Christian Gardens & Pen, Newland Road, Cumberland, Cedar Grove, Edgewater, Waterford, Gregory Park, Braeton, Braeton Relift, Independence City, Hellshire, Upperfort A & B, Johnson Hill, Edge Hill, Hellshire Hills, Cave Hill, Hillshire Glades, Seaforth, Sand Hill and Sand Hills Vista, Eltham Acres, Eltham, Greendale, Keystone, St Jago Gardens, Patten Park, Richard Hall, Waterloo Gardens, Ensom Acres, Kent Village, Spanish Town Road, Molynes Road, Washington Boulevard, sections of downtown Kingston.
Customers in the affected areas to store water for use during this period of disruption.
