Aaron Chatrie suspended, fined
The stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission are announcing the following disciplinary actions arising from an inquiry held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
Jockey Oneil Beckford, who rode Like A Lady in the second race on Saturday July 8, 2018, was fined $4,000 for interference caused to Hologram Shadow in the vicinity of the 300-metre point.
Jockey Aaron Chatrie who rode:
1 — Lala Diva in the fifth race on Saturday, July 28, was cautioned for interference caused to Miss Linda Wray in the vicinity of the 200-metre point;
2 — Drone Strike in the 10th race on Saturday, July 28, was suspended for three race days and fined $10,000.00 for interference caused to horses Disability Charm and Uncle Honey in the vicinity of the 800- and 700-metre points respectively; and,
3 — Biblical Legend in the 10th race on Monday, August 6, was suspended for two race days and fined $10,000.00 for interference caused to horses Bruce Wayne, Francia’s Pride and Dysfunctional shortly after the start of the race.
Chatrie’s suspensions commence on Saturday, August 25, 2018.
Jockey Dane Dawkins, who rode Amar in the third race on Saturday, July 28, was cautioned for interference caused to horses Regal Prospector and Thundereble shortly after passing the 300-metre point.
