Weather forecast: Persistent trough to bring showers today
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica is reporting that due to a persistent trough across the island, isolated showers are expected across northern parishes, while elsewhere should be mainly sunny.
Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across sections of most parishes this afternoon, while tonight should become fair.
The Met Office says the trough is expected to linger for the remainder of the weekend and as a result increased rainfall is expected across the island tomorrow into Monday as another tropical wave approaches.
