Buff Bay tax office to be closed
PORTLAND, Jamaica — Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) says the Buff Bay Tax Office has become irreparable and as such, will be closed as of September 3.
This is “in order to ensure the safety of staff and customers as any further repair of the building is no longer a viable option,” TAJ advised in a release today.
It said staff from this office will be redeployed to the Port Antonio and Annotto Bay Tax Offices to complement those teams in providing service to the public.
“As a result of the impending closure, taxpayers are being asked to collect their Motor Vehicle Titles, Driver’s Licences and Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN) cards by Thursday, August 30 as there will be no further distribution from the Buff Bay Tax Office after this date,” advised TAJ.
Persons will now be required to collect their documents from the Port Antonio Tax Office commencing Monday, September 3.
