Port Antonio Hospital X-Ray Dept renovated and re-opened
PORTLAND, Jamaica — The North-East Regional Health Authority (NERHA) has reported that the X-Ray Department at the Port Antonio Hospital is now “fully renovated” and reopened to the public.
NERHA in a release today said that the renovation was funded by the CHASE Fund, National Health Fund (NHF) and NERHA at a total cost of approximately $51.25 million.
CHASE provided approximately $25.8 million for a new X-Ray unit, while the NHF funded the cost of a new ultrasound machine at approximately $6.7 million and NERHA provided funding for renovations to the building and Information Technology systems, to the amount of approximately $18.7 million.
