Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Audley Shaw, today announced that Jamaica has made its first legal export of medical marijuana extracted oil to Canada.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness, while addressing a Caribbean Community (Caricom) breakfast in New York today to launch the ‘Caribbean Moves’ exercise programme, has renewed the call for the Caribbean to become a smoke-free region.

8. C’bean health ministers commit to reducing cervical cancer cases, deaths by 30%
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) says Ministers of Health of the Region of the Americas, including the Caribbean, have agreed to implement a series of strategic actions to reduce new cases of cervical cancer and the resulting deaths by one third by 2030.
