Patriarch (right Dick Cardenas) staving off the persistent challenge of Another Vigorous (Dane Dawkins) in sloppy underfoot conditions to win the 2017 edition (October 14) of the Cash Pot 'Only One for Me' Trophy. Since then Patriarch trained by Anthony Nunes has been recovering from surgery to remove chips from his knees while Another Vigorous from the barn of Rowan Mathie has been steadily making his way up the classes and he too has had to deal with injury issues.
